Vietnam Visa Extension Support for Eligible VOA Holders
Want to stay longer? We review eligible visa-on-arrival cases and explain the documents and timing needed before your current stay expires.
When a short visit becomes a longer stay, it is important to review your immigration documents before the permitted stay ends. Le Travel offers in-country extension assistance for eligible travellers whose stay is based on a visa on arrival, or VOA.
Start with the visa you actually hold
Our extension service is currently limited to eligible VOA cases. This describes the scope of our service, not a rule that every VOA can be extended or that no other immigration route exists. Your visa category, sponsor, nationality, entry history and current permission to stay determine what can be considered.
If you are unsure whether you entered with an e-visa or VOA, start with our Vietnam visa guide. Sending a copy of your visa and most recent entry stamp helps us identify the relevant documents.
How we assess an extension
- Share your passport information page, current visa, latest entry stamp and the date until which you want to stay.
- Our team checks the available route and requests any additional supporting or sponsor documents.
- We explain the proposed process, document handling and expected timing before you decide to proceed.
- Where the case is eligible, we assist with preparation and follow-up through the applicable procedure.
Contact us before your current permission expires. Submitting a request or speaking with an agent does not itself authorise an overstay. The final decision and any additional period granted remain with the immigration authority.
If you entered on an e-visa
We do not offer a direct extension of the existing e-visa under this service. Our visa run service can help assess an exit and re-entry plan instead. Depending on a traveller's circumstances, a separately sponsored immigration route may also warrant review: the official immigration portal notes that eligible e-visa holders may be considered for a new visa with an appropriate inviter or guarantor.
