Wrong details on your Vietnam e-visa? Here’s what can be corrected
Check which Vietnam e-visa details LeTravel can help correct, how validity dates and entry types work, and what to send for assistance.
Found a mistake on your Vietnam e-visa? LeTravel can help review and arrange corrections to the fields below. Send us your original e-visa, passport information page and travel date so we can confirm the solution and turnaround time.
What can be corrected?
| E-visa field | LeTravel correction support |
|---|---|
| Good for entry valid from / until | Changes to the validity dates, subject to the applicable conditions and a maximum validity of 90 days. |
| Full name | Corrections to spelling or missing name details. |
| Date of birth | Corrections to the recorded birth date. |
| Passport number | Corrections to an incorrectly entered number. |
| Date of expiry | Corrections to the passport expiry date recorded on the e-visa. This does not extend your passport’s validity. |
| Purpose of entry | Assistance with a change to the recorded purpose, subject to the appropriate visa requirements. |
| Single / multiple entries | Not changeable through our correction service. Contact us to discuss a new application if you selected the wrong option. |
Single entry allows one entry into Vietnam. Once you leave, you cannot reuse that visa to enter again, even if its expiry date has not passed.
Multiple entries allows you to leave and re-enter during the visa’s validity period. Each visit remains subject to immigration permission.
The dates are your validity window
The “valid from” and “until” dates show when your e-visa is valid. They are not appointments requiring you to arrive and depart on those exact days.
You can plan your arrival and departure within that window, subject to your permitted stay. Arriving later does not move the expiry date or give you a fresh 90 days.
Vietnam e-visas can be valid for up to 90 days. For greater flexibility, LeTravel recommends requesting the full period where appropriate for your nationality and circumstances. Confirm any special requirements with us before applying. Official Vietnam e-visa portal
Does reversed name order need correcting?
“JOHN SMITH” and “SMITH JOHN” contain the same name components in a different order. This can be a display-order difference rather than a spelling error.
Send us the passport and e-visa before requesting a correction. We can check whether any name is actually missing or incorrect and advise on the next step.
What about information not printed on the e-visa?
Some application details, such as passport place of issue or intended arrival airport, may not appear on the issued PDF.
Their absence from the PDF does not, by itself, establish whether a discrepancy matters. Tell us what changed so we can check whether action is needed, especially if you plan to use a different entry checkpoint.
How to get help
Send LeTravel:
- Your original e-visa PDF and passport information page.
- The incorrect details and the requested corrections.
- Your flight date and the deadline for receiving the result.
We can begin reviewing your case immediately and confirm the available correction service, fee and expected completion time. The fee depends on how urgently you need the result and how many errors need correcting.
Once the correction is completed, check the updated result through the official government e-visa lookup. Keep the official document intact rather than editing the PDF yourself.
